Trent Wearner Golf Academy coaches live and breathe the mission of enhancing your game with an exceptional dedication and passion. We have comprehensive, multi-level and multi-age player development programs, which are designed to develop good fundamentals, sound golf swings, improve all skills and ensure the golfer can transition their skills to the course. While junior programs around town typically consist of too many kids in a group, and unfortunately try to fit all students into a one-size-fits-all approach, we maintain an optimal student to teacher ratio with a max of only 4 juniors per coach and we tailor the coaching to the individual so we connect with everyone. Many junior programs around town are taught by beginner teachers, you won’t find that at Trent Wearner Golf Academy as we have the most experienced group of coaches found anywhere in Colorado! Join us weekly for an exceptional coaching experience, where your junior will receive top-tier instruction from coaches trained by highly respected coach, Trent Wearner. This multi-level program is designed for junior golfers of various skill levels and in small groups that boast an unparalleled ratio of only 4 juniors per coach ensuring personalized attention you can’t find anywhere else.

This program concentrates on more than just building a solid golf foundation and improving technique. We have a blast while building performance characteristics like grit, determination, resilience and more. We incorporate moral character traits like integrity, respect, honesty and honor, and some of the programs listed below include on-course time at several sessions. With the programs that involve course time, called SCORING CLINICS, your child will test their skills trying to shoot a score of 36 for 9-holes from yardages starting close to the green and progressing back with each successful round. And for classes that don’t involve on-course time, through Trent’s popular practice book Golf Scrimmages, the staff can infuse game-like situations at the practice facility that involve scoring systems where they reach certain objectives just as if they were on the course! Both are phenomenal programs taught by respected PGA and LPGA coaches.

MEADOW HILLS:  SCORING CLINIC … Ages 7-13:  Wednesdays, April 24th– June 12th 2024 from 4:30-5:30PM. We will work on all golf skills required for scoring: putting, chipping, pitching, full swing, course management and the mental game. This is a progressive class where juniors will test their skills from different yardages, starting from 25 yards and working their way up to 100 yards. The ultimate goal is to score a 4 or less on each hole for 9-holes from their designated yardages. This class will take place at Meadow Hills Golf Course. Eight weeks and 9 total hours of coaching with Travis. The final day will be 9-holes, approx. 2 hrs 4:30-6:30PM. Cost is $450. To sign up, please click HERE.

Our PGA Jr Camps are designed to inspire new golfers at the beginning of their journey and further the development of those playing at a beginner to intermediate level. Camps will cover golf fundamentals as well as some simple rules and etiquette to get your junior off and running. Participants are segmented into smaller groups based on their experience and age to create a favorable and fun learning environment.

Our High School Aged Golfers offers a dynamic weekly program tailored to two distinct groups of juniors. “Teens Only” caters to those seeking improvement in an easy-going atmosphere, fostering skill development while ensuring a fun experience. Meanwhile, “High School Golfers” is geared towards individuals with prior high school team experience or those aspiring to make their high school team, providing targeted guidance and support. In both programs, juniors benefit from personalized coaching in intimate groups of only four juniors per coach ensuring ample attention and tailored instruction. Both of these programs provide an opportunity for the junior to practice with other players of similar ability level and to enjoy the game at whatever level they choose. All groups will develop better technical skills, enhance their practice time, enjoy some practice games and have a blast with this wonderful game.

Information

PGA Junior League is a team atmosphere helping kids to have fun and compete in a comfortable group setting. Taking this team approach to learning and playing golf, kids will play with a teammate against another facility near ours. This program does take place at our City of Westminster golf course locations, Legacy Ridge and Walnut Creek so if you’re interested please see our Westminster Golf Page HERE.

FUNdamentals is a great low cost program to get your youngster involved with golf. These are fun classes that will peak their interest and get their toes wet with a game that can last a lifetime! We even have clubs for them so it’s not required that they have equipment.
